18th EIHA CONFERENCE Hemp for Europe

By virtue of its sustainable approach to economy and agriculture and its multiple applications as food and manufactured products, the hemp sector attracts young generations of farmers, offering a promise of regeneration of rural areas. Moreover, by repatriating manufacturing processes and fostering innovative value chains, the sector could deliver long-term sustainable growth and create highly-skilled jobs across Europe. Experts from all over the world will discuss how to #unlockthepotential of hemp to develop a sustainable economic model that reconciles agriculture, industry and environment.

More concretely, the event will encourage fruitful discussions on hemp farming, fibre processing and biocomposites, with a special focus on how to build a strong value chain, and the future of hemp foods and food supplements. Other topics will include regulation and industry insights – cannabinoids, technology, cosmetics and medicine.

#HempforEurope: emerging opportunities for the Green Recovery will feature diverse speakers, including members of the European Parliament and Commission, farmers, market operators, policy experts and researchers.
