Info: EIHA Hemp Conference, 16 - 17 June 2020, Hybrid Event

The EIHA Hemp Conference is the biggest event on industrial hemp worldwide. A new all-time record was set in 2019 with 415 participants from 49 countries and 34 exhibitors.

The conference is the largest business meeting for all sectors of the hemp and cannabis industry, bringing together professionals from around the world to discuss the latest developments in hemp applications for fibres, shives, seeds and oil and cannabinoids. Applications include automotive and construction, biocomposites, textiles, feed & food, food supplements and pharmaceuticals. Please find the final programme at

17th EIHA Hemp Conference opts for a dual solution: It will take place on site in Cologne with an interactive online webcast or, if not otherwise possible, only as an interactive web conference. The final decision will be made on 25 May.

Participation in two days web conference costs 250 € instead of 600 € for the on-site ticket. If circumstances permit, we will host a big event in Cologne and at the same time offer the entire conference online and interactive. In this way, interested hemp experts who are affected by travel restrictions due to the corona pandemic and cannot attend in person will also be able to participate online. If the conference only takes place online, participants will be refunded the difference to the online rate.

The exhibition space has now been considerably expanded, as the standard space for 30 exhibitors is already fully booked. Exhibitors will find out by 25 May whether the conference can actually take place. If not, they will get their stand fees back.
We decided to hold the conference online in any case. We have just had very good experiences with the online version of our “Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers”: On three days 50 speakers gave their presentations online and the participants asked almost 200 questions, of which all could be discussed. The reactions of the participants and speakers were extremely positive and everyone was delighted that we offered this form of exchange.
This experience encourages us to make “17th EIHA Hemp Conference” an equally successful online event, if we can't host the conference in Cologne.

Be there and don't miss this unique and high-profile exchange in June!

Yours Michael Carus
